We were pretty psyched to be on the shortlist for Vulture when they were seeking out baby stores who could speak to the best gear for a zombie apocalypse! Check out our super-stylist Amanda give advice on the Ergo (great for storing ammo) and the Diaper Dude bag (good for arrow toting) and the anti-microbial flat bear by Elks & Angels.
I sat by my computer refreshing until registration opened for the Chuck Close artist talk at the MOMA, part of the family program. Close, who is behind the book Face Book, a popular one at Babesta, is a truely inspirational artist who creates large photo based portrait paintings. Diagnosed with facial blindness, he paints people's faces in an attempt to boost his recognition. Close was paralyzed due to a very rare spinal artery collapse, and creates his art using a brush holding device that is strapped to his forearm. To sign up for the artist talk, go to the MOMA's Family Programs.
Date: December 1
Time: 1-2pm; preregistration required

We've noticed that something sweet is happening in the children's biz. And it comes as no surprise. Perhaps it's just that we're irresistibly attracted to anything gummi & adorable. And (recalling the dentist that was paying kids to take their Halloween candy back), we thought we'd pair 'em with some toothy fun. Check out the Gummi Bath Toys by Jellio; GummyLamps by Jailbreak Collective; Crowded Teeth wall art featuring a decidedly sweet tooth; Oeuf's

On the black Cameleon 3 special edition - these footmuffs are perfection! Shop 7AM Enfant now.
