MOVE! into October with fabulous fashion & art courtesy of the new downtown mall, Battery Park City's own, Brookfield Place. Home to luxury staples DVF, Burberry, Vince, Scoop & Babesta, who will all participate in the interactive MOVE! experience. Kicking off Friday, October 2nd, at 12pm the event will last all weekend pairing designers and artists.Talk about a true selfie, "Pose", matches Diane Von Furstenberg and Ryan McNamara creating an original wrap-dress donning you! McNamara's art has been displayed in local museums such as the Whitney and MoMa. Playing with gender, "Crossover" plays with the transformation of females to males and vice-versa with a little help from Cos Bar featuring Yves Saint Laurent Beauty products and artist James Kaliardos. To earn a special (yummy) treat, Le District is taking "singing for your supper" up a notch. Learn a choreographed dance from artist Elana Langer in "Dance Deal" and a pastry snack will be yours.Babesta will be celebrating the event

We had a great time crafting for the window this week. We made some pretty nifty hanging geometric "lanterns" out of neon colored plastic straws and ribbons. They give a little dimention to our window and give our little Uglydoll models a super cool environment. We were inspired on Pinterest (go figure!)
We think that these would also make for a great, simple party decoration! Hang them over the birthday table!
First gather your materials! You'll need ample amounts of neon straws, curling ribbon, scissors and fishing wire to hang.

As this will be the last day of Olympic window at babesta (the first window after our renovation) I thought I'd post a few pictures. I'm trying to capture all of our windows as we have so much fun doing them and are always sad to see them go (but always excited about the next.)
