It's that time of year, when Randall's Island becomes an open-air art gallery. A collaboration of Randall's Island Park Alliance and the Bronx Museum of the Arts, Flow.17 selects a handful of revered artists and displays their pieces against the waterfront backdrop. Free to the public, make your own trail around the 516-acre venue or hop on a tour to hone in on one-of-a-kind art work and possibly meet-and-greet with some of the artists extraordinaire. With the grand opening on May 6th, Flow.17 is officially open . If you missed all the excitement of opening day (paired with the Cherry Blossom festival.) No worries! Take a trip across the Harlem or East river (depending on your borough) and enjoy the park on any beautiful day. Interested in a Flow.17 tour? Meet at the base of the 103rd street bridge on June 17th to kick off your summer or on September 16th as summer is winding down. Rose DeSiano will answer your questions and fill you in on the history of the islands and deets of the artwork.
