Yes, we know, 2018 is chock-full of blockbuster Broadway openings: from Frozen to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. This is slated to be a big year for musicals. But what caught our eye was a limited run called Rocktopia, a concert that seamlessly blends the classics like Beethoven, Stravinsky and Puccini, with classic rockers like The Beatles, Hendrix, Heart and Journey, demonstrating the parity between the musical giants spanning the ages. At its core it considers, or even posits, that those 18th century maestros were just as much rockstar as anyone we equate with the term. Limited run from March 20--April 29th.
